Make way for the lady in red — Amy Schumer, that is.
The comedian sizzles on the cover of the July issue of Vogue while posing in a red off-the-shoulder Dolce and Gabbana dress, says Mashable. While Schumer is breathtaking as the face of the popular glossy, what she has to say in the adjoining interview is also notable.
According to Mashable, Schumer not only discussed her determination to change the comedy scene, she also shared the things that tend to get under her skin.
“Some days there will be a bunch of websites dedicated to trying to get me to just shut my mouth, or I’ll walk into a greenroom and someone had a caricature artist draw me and it’s with a martini glass, looking like a linebacker with Jay Leno’s chin,” she told Vogue. “That can get to me. I’m not without that vulnerability.”
Schumer’s interview didn’t end there; the magazine also printed an excerpt from her forthcoming memoir, The Girl with the Lower Back Tattoo, in which she dispelled any myths and misconceptions that might surround her.
“I’m so sorry to disappoint anyone who thinks I walk around at all times with a margarita in one hand and a dildo in the other,” she jokes, according to Mashable. “Maybe the misunderstanding comes from the fact that, onstage, I group together all my wildest, worst sexual memories—a grand total of about five experiences over the course of 35 years.”
No matter the details of her personal life, we’re just glad that Schumer’s comedic talents are getting the attention they so deserve.
