Jones rocks stunning Siriano number at ‘Ghostbusters’ premiere

All those designers who didn’t want to dress Leslie Jones for the big premiere of the Ghostbusters reboot got a glimpse of what they missed out on when Jones hit the red carpet over the weekend.

After calling out those designers who didn’t want to work with her, Project Runway alum Christian Siriano stepped up to the plate to dress the Saturday Night Live star — and the results were stunning. Jones showed up to the Saturday, July 9 premiere in Los Angeles in a red off-the-shoulder gown with a thigh-high slit, reports People, which she accessorized with a statement necklace, a frame clutch and metallic heels.

The inspiration for the fiery red gown? The movie Pretty Woman, Siriano may have implied on Instagram as he posted a photo of Jones with the caption, “Yep! #prettywoman.” People explained the potential nod to the classic film this way: “It definitely referred to the famous red-dress-and-diamonds combo Julia Roberts wears in the movie, but possibly also for the fact that the designers who blew her off made a ‘Big mistake. HUGE.‘”

All Pretty Woman speculation aside, People says Jones told reporters at the premiere that she wanted to “be ‘sexy,’ and show off my body a little bit.”

In addition to sharing her wish-list for her premiere gown with reporters, Jones also acknowledged the man who made it all possible — who also had a big day of his own.

“He’s getting married, right now, as we speak,” Jones told reporters of Siriano, who married his longtime boyfriend Brad Walsh the same day as the premiere, according to People. “As I walk up this aisle, he is walking up his aisle! Christian, Happy Wedding Day!”

While Siriano was enjoying his own special day, Jones killed it on the red carpet — all thanks to a simple tweet that led “making magic” happen.
