H&M’s fall 2016 campaign offers fresh styles and inclusivity

Fashion and inclusivity combine in H&M’s fall 2016 campaign — and ELLE says it may just be the retailers most inclusive campaign to date.

Along with debuting the “70s-inspired silhouettes, floaty fabrics, and floral prints” that make up their fall 2016 collection, ELLE reports that H&M employed a range of faces and figures to show of the new styles, from “transgender model Hari Nef, to boxer Fatima Pinto, to ’70s icon Lauren Hutton.”

Showing off all body types, ages and appearances in the ad serves to prove that all of these differences are what makes us beautiful. The video, set to Lion Babe’s cover of “She’s a Lady,” depicts beauty in all its forms and celebrates the uniqueness of women everywhere.

Lion Babe singer Jillian Hervey explained her part of promoting this message in the video to ELLE this way:

“Celebrating women is inherent to me, their uniqueness, their grace, their resilience and their style, so I love that H&M came to us to reinvent the classic ‘She’s a Lady’ by Tom Jones into a contemporary moment and more importantly from the ladies directly.”
