Considered one of the funniest, most authentic voices in comedy today, Amy Schumer is certainly making a name for herself with her fearless brand of humor. But that isn’t the only way the 35-year-old comedian is finding her name in the spotlight.
According to ELLE, Schumer was recently ranked fourth in Forbes‘ list of highest paid comedians for 2016. Earning an estimated $17 million last year, ELLE says the feat marks the “first time the business magazine has included a woman on this list.”
Contributing to her place on the list is her successful television show, Inside Amy Schumer (which airs on Comedy Central), as well as her ongoing comedy tour and the $8 million book deal she signed to produce New York Times bestseller, The Girl with the Lower Back Tattoo, reports ELLE.
Other contributions to her total earnings came from her role in her hit feature film, Trainwreck, says ELLE, as well as her part in Bud Light’s Super Bowl spot.
