Chanel’s new beauty product will blow your mind

What’s pink, comes in a round disc and found in your favorite beauty store?

If you’re thinking the answer is a cushion compact, you’d be incorrect. That’s because Chanel has disguised their newest product to be as convenient and as portable as your favorite compact. According to PopSugar, the luxury brand took a typical compact — encased in millennial pink, of course — and instead of placing a makeup-soaked pouf inside, there is a fragrance-filled cushion.

Featuring their famous Chance scent, PopSugar says this new product eliminated the need to carry the fragrance with you, allowing you to “use the applicator to dab this scent on your neck, wrists, collarbone, or anywhere else your heart desires.”

So how much does this nifty fragrance sidekick cost? PopSugar says their Chance Eau Tendre product retails for an even $70. It’s available to purchase right now on Chanel’s website.

Youtube star releases ultra-bright highlight palette

If you’re looking for something to brighten up your life in these dreary winter months, a brand-new highlight palette is here to make sure your days are never dull again.

According to Elite Daily, Youtube beauty star Natasha Denona has added to her beauty collection with brand-new Diamond & Blush palettes, which feature “ridiculously blinding illuminators” that catch and balance light as much as a real diamond.

Retailing for $89, Elite Daily says the palettes are available in two colors: “Darya, which contains pinky peach shades of blush and highlighter, perfect for light to medium skin tones, and Citrus, containing bronze and bright pink hues, ideal for medium to deep skin tones, as well as a totally unpredictable bright lime-tinted yellow hue.”

As far as what’s included in the “giant, six-panned palettes,” Elite Daily reports that they contain a “glow cream, a diamond powder, a cream blush, a powder blush, a duo chrome highlighter, and what Denona refers to as ‘Extreme Glow.'”

Cosmetic company to go vegan

There’s nothing better when a product you love cares about the same causes and concerns you do — just look at Hourglass Cosmetics.

According to Glamour, the company is pledging that by 2020, all of their products will be 100 percent vegan. While Glamour says that a significant portion of their products are already produced cruelty-free, the move to be entirely vegan comes as a way for the company to commemorate World Vegan Day.

Glamour reports that the changes may come in the form of removing commonly-found animal by-product ingredients in makeup such as beeswax and Carmine, a dye that is crafted from beetles’ wings (typically categorized as “CI 75470” on makeup ingredients lists). But because the majority of their products are already vegan, Glamour says only a handful of products may genuinely be affected, including their Ambient Strobe Lighting Powder and their Modernist Eyeshadow Palette, among others.
