When a women’s fashion magazine hosts a red carpet event, you can be certain of two things: that some very powerful and talented women will be in attendance and that they will be dressed to impress. And such was the case when Harper’s Bazaar UK held their Women of the Year Awards on Tuesday, Nov. 3 in London.

British icon honoree Kate Winslet stunned prior to the awards in what InStyle says is a black and white Roland Mouret asymmetrical sheath dress. Winslet paired her classic look with black pointed-toe pumps, some simple gold jewelry and a black clutch.

While Winslet’s look oozes a simple elegance, its price tag is anything but simple. Her Roland Mouret dress, the Beadle Stretch Crepe Sheath Dress, is available at Neiman Marcus for a lofty $2,295. If you love this look as much as we do, there’s still hope to make this look yours despite its high price — read on to see how we attempted to recreate her entire look for under $250.

Winslet’s Roland Mouret frock is certainly unique, so finding something to mimic the look was not easy, but we finally landed on the Vesper Sexy Pencil Dress with Bow Tie Waist from ASOS. While the dress doesn’t have similar cap sleeves, it does share its curve-hugging sheath silhouette, with white colorblocking on the same side as Winslet’s dress and in a diagonal pattern reminiscent of her dress. The other major difference — the price. This dress will only set you back $103.91.

Although Kate Winslet’s Harper’s Bazaar Women of the Year Awards look cost upwards of $2,295, we managed to recreate her entire look for only $223.81. Add your favorite gold jewelry, and you’ll have taken her look for your own.

There was a party down under, and celebrities turned out in high style to mark the occasion. On Oct. 29, the H&M Sydney Flagship store held a VIP party in Sydney, Australia, and showing up in one of the most eye-catching looks of the night was Solange Knowles.

Wearing nothing but an oversized blazer that served as her dress, InStyle says Knowles paired her risqué look with black Schutz cage heels and a sparkly black frame clutch. She capped off her look with a slick of bright orange eyeliner and voluminous locks.

We loved Solange Knowles’ daring night-out look, but her Schutz Juliana Caged Sandals alone cost $190. So we set out to recreate her entire outfit for less than $190 — that’s a dress, shoes and clutch for under the cost of her shoes. Read on for the results!

It was surprisingly easy to find a dress similar to Knowles’ oversized blazer look, and we found the perfect look-alike piece in the form of the Long Sleeve Tux Dress from Missguided. This dress’s double-breasted design, gold buttons and satiny lapel invoke Knowles’ frock and deliver a strikingly similar silhouette for only $68.

A dress like this calls for a fabulous shoe, and there is no better shoe for the job than the Zigi Soho Duran Bootie from DSW. Featuring a similar cage design, this shoe offers an extra bit of shine with its tiny rhinestone embellishment. For only $79.95, these shoes come in well under Knowles’ $190 Schutz style, but are just as fashionable.

From Paris Fashion Week to an opening gala in Torrance, California, it’s safe to say that Zendaya had an interesting — and fashionable — week to say the least.

Attending the Nordstrom Del Amo Fashion Center Opening Gala at the Nordstrom Del Amo Fashion Center on Tuesday, Oct. 6, Zendaya showed up in nothing less than a stunning outfit, opting for a breezy Elizabeth and James dress which she paired with neutral cage booties by Schutz, InStyle reports. The actress completed her look with face-framing chandelier earrings, a slicked-back updo and dewy makeup.

While we adore Zendaya’s easy-chic look, we wish we could say the same about its price. Her Elizabeth and James frock — the ‘Indra’ Sleeveless Sheath Dress — is currently available at Nordstrom for $395, while her Juliana Caged Sandals by Schutz retail on ShopBop for $190. If you love her look as much as we do, but can’t spring for its $585 price, we were able to find look-alike piece to recreate her entire outfit for under $200. Read on for the results!

Finding a dress to rival Zendaya’s simple Elizabeth and James tank dress was no easy task, but we thought the ASOS Midi Tank Dress came pretty close. Although this dress features a funnel neckline, it shares its mid-calf length and tank style, while also incorporating side slits reminiscent of Zendaya’s Elizabeth and James number. One other thing this dress doesn’t share with Zendaya’s dress —  its nearly $400 price. This dress is available on ASOS.com in regular, tall and petite sizes for only $62.70.

Next on our shopping list was a pair of caged booties, and we found the perfect pair in the form of the Zigi Soho Duran Bootie from DSW. These heels invoke the cage-style of Zendaya’s heels while also incorporating additional shine to the neutral heel. For only $79.95, these booties are sure to take your look-alike ensemble to the next level without breaking the bank.

Polishing off our look for less is a pair of chandelier earrings, and the Rhinestone Petal Drop earrings from Forever 21 are the perfect way to frame your face and add some sparkle to your look. On Sept. 26, New York City played host to the Global Citizen Festival, which served to bring awareness to issues such as hunger, healthcare and education that affect people around the world. Musical performances from acts such as Coldplay and Beyoncé added to the festival, and so did some of the fashion from celebrities in attendance.

One of our favorite looks came courtesy of Kerry Washington, who attended the festival in what InStyle reports is a black and white lace-up Balenciaga dress, which she paired with a black clutch, grey pumps and Eva Fehren jewelry. Washington capped off her look with a pop of color in the form a slick of orange lipstick.

Although we love the Scandal star’s black and white ensemble, we wish we could say the same about its price. According to The Daily Mail, her dress is part of the yet-to-be-released Balenciaga’s Resort 2016 collection, but similar strapless styles from the current collection start at $1,695 at Net-A-Porter. We love her look, but we think that you don’t have to spend like a star to look like one. That’s why we set out to recreate her entire look for under $100. Read on for the results!

Because Washington’s frock is so unique, we had to opt for a dress similar only in color palette and construction — and that’s where the Color Block Mesh Asymmetrical Dress from Charlotte Russe comes in. Its black and white color block style invokes Washington’s Balenciaga number, but it isn’t even close in terms of price, on sale for a mere $9.99.

To mimic Washington’s textured clutch, we chose the Urban Expressions Reilly Clutch from DSW. Featuring a tonal faux snakeskin leather, this clutch can easily pass for Washington’s clutch, but will only set you back $29.95.

The leaves on the trees may be changing from their summertime green to their autumnal reds, oranges and yellows, but a certain stylish lady wasn’t ready to trade in her bright green frock for more seasonal colors just yet. We’re looking at you, Amal Clooney.

According to The Huffington Post, Mrs. Clooney was spotted out in New York City on Sept. 29 with husband George to attend the 15th anniversary screening of Clooney’s “O Brother, Where Art Thou?” InStyle says that Clooney wore a green Versace cocktail dress, which she paired with black and green Jimmy Choo sandals and bold statement earrings.

Clooney’s end-of-summer style certainly caught our eye, but so did its price tag. Her dress, the Versace Pleated Dress, is currently available at Farfetch.com for a lofty $2,045 — and that’s not even considering her Jimmy Choo sandals, which have similar styles originally priced at $800 on Tradesy.com. With Clooney’s NYC-night-out look coming in at around $2,845, we set out to recreate her entire look for less than $200. Read on for the results!

Finding a frock in an equally bright, cheerful shade of green was no easy task, but we finally landed on the Springs to Mind Dress from ModCloth. Not only is this sweet dress done in a similar shade of green, it also features a similar construction with a fuller skirt and fitted bodice. This dress, however, won’t set you back $2,045, as it’s available for only $54.99.

Nothing can compare to Clooney’s two-tone Jimmy Choo sandals, but we thought the N.Y.L.A. Mercutio Sandal from DSW came in a close second. Although this sandal features a more cage-like foot design, its strap pattern is reminiscent of Clooney’s heels. The best part — these sandals will complete your Clooney-inspired look for less for only $49.95.

Jessica Alba has enjoyed tremendous success not only as an actress, but also as a business woman, especially with the recent prosperity of her company, The Honest Company. And her success with her ‘Honest’ products is about to grow with the Sept. 9 launch of her Honest Beauty Skincare and Makeup line.

According to The Daily MailAlba celebrated the launch of the line with a party at the Trump Soho Hotel in New York City, and she was the image of an ‘honest’ beauty. Wearing what InStyle reports was a Jonathan Saunders geometric-patterned lace overlay dress, Alba was a vision in a soft blush with a touch of bright pink at her feet, sporting suede pointed toe pumps in the eye-catching hue.

Alba’s Jonathan Saunders dress makes us blush with envy, but if you want this dress as much as we do, it may not be as accessible as it appears. The Daily Mail says that this dress is part of Jonathan Saunders’ Resort 2016 collection, making it currently unavailable to the public. However, even when this dress hits stores, its price may be a deterrent, as other Jonathan Saunders dresses start on Net-a-Porter for a lofty $1,085. But if you are neither willing to wait for the real deal nor willing to shell out upwards of $1,000 for this sweet style, we’ve found all the pieces necessary to recreate Alba’s entire look for less. Read on for the results.

Finding a lace style to rival the Jonathan Saunders frock was no easy task, but we thought the Guess Lace Illusion Sheath Dress from Lord and Taylor was a good alternative to Alba’s pricey dress. Done in a similar midi style, this dress offers both a sweet lace and see-through sleeves and hemline reminiscent of Alba’s dress. Available for $168, this dress will easily pass Alba’s Jonathan Saunders look for a fraction of the cost.

Capping off our look for less is a pretty pink pump, and there is no better style than the Jessica Simpson Sandous Platform Pump to do the job. The A-List’s 15th Anniversary party may have taken place on September 1, but the fashion from the party was just so good, we can’t help but talk about it four days later.

The party, held in their Beverly Hills showroom, played host to a gaggle of a-list celebrities (no pun intended), and each one of them attended the event in high style. While we discussed our favorite looks earlier this week, there’s one look we loved so much, we decided to recreate the entire outfit for less. And that look comes courtesy of the ever-fashionable Jamie Chung.

Chung showed up to the party in what InStyle reports is a top from Forever 21, which she paired with rag & bone leather shorts, a Ralph Lauren blazer and Oxford booties. She kept her hair and makeup simple while also opting for minimal jewelry, letting her perfectly put-together look speak for itself.

Chung’s look features an interesting combination of high, low and intermediately priced items, mixing pieces from Forever 21, Ralph Lauren and rag & bone. While the exact prices of her blazer and shorts elude our searches, a similar style of leather shorts by rag & bone — the Tennis Leather Shorts — retail for $595 at Nordstrom. But if you love Chung’s look, we were not only able to locate her exact Forever 21 top, we were able to recreate her entire look for under $200. Read on for the results!

With a couple of simple clicks, we were able to find Chung’s Forever 21 Scarf Print Top. The top features a small, all-over abstract print with a black and white striped hem and a ribbed crew neckline. Chung’s exact top is the basis of our look-alike outfit, and it will only set you back $19.90.

You’ll need leather shorts to pair your new scarf print top with, and that’s where these faux leather Short Shorts from H & M come in. These shorts share the same button and fly construction while also delivering a quilted side panel, which offers just a little bit of texture to the otherwise flat finish. These shorts could easily pass for Chung’s pricey rag & bone style, but for only $19.99, they won’t leave your bank account bare.

Finding a blazer to rival Chung’s tailored Ralph Lauren style was no easy task, but we thought the Mural Slouchy Boyfriend Blazer from Nordstrom delivered an equally crisp look. Featuring a similar collar design along with a structured shoulder, this blazer will look just as expensive as her Ralph Lauren piece, but will only cost you $74.

Rounding out our look for less are cute oxford booties, courtesy of the Tahari Grace Bootie from DSW. Coming in at $69.95, these boots are the perfect way to complete our look-alike ensemble.

August went out with a bang — or should we say a ‘grand slam’ —with the last day of the month playing host to the 15th Annual USTA Foundation Opening Night Gala in New York City. And while the gala was for a good cause with proceeds benefitting the USTA Foundation, which serves to bring “tennis, education, and health curricula” to children and adults, the event was also filled with some great fashion.

Our favorite look came courtesy of Amanda Seyfried, who attended the event in what InStyle reports was a black and white scallop-hem dress by Red Valentino. She completed her gala-ready look with a floral pouch and black pointed-toe heels.

While Seyfried’s look is the object of our envy, it comes at a price that is not-so enviable. Her floral pouch alone, which The Daily Mail reports is by Givenchy, costs a lofty $450. But if you love her entire outfit, we’ve found all the pieces necessary to recreate her look for less. Read on for the results!

Finding a dress to mimic her Red Valentino number was quite the task, but we thought that the GUESS Colorblocked Fringe-Lace Bodycon Dress from Macy’s came pretty close. This dress not only invoked the scallop detail at the hemline of her dress, it also features a black and white colorblocking reminiscent of the Red Valentino frock. But this look is sure to cost much less, coming it at $94.40.

Next on our shopping list was a floral clutch to rival Seyfried’s Givenchy style, and we though the Steve Madeen Noelle Floral Clutch from DSW did just that. Done in an equally dainty floral, this clutch is given a bit of an edge with tonal studs embossed into the flap. And for only $34.95, you’ll have a style similar to the Givenchy clutch at a fraction of the cost.

Fashionable looks aren’t just reserved for the runway — that’s what Heidi Klum showed us with her latest street style ensemble.

The model-turned-television host was spotted out and about in Soho on August 19, wearing what InStyle reports as Elizabeth and James geometric separates. Klum paired her sheer black look with a pop of green in the form of the Hermés mini Birkin bag while completing her look with a pair of open-toe pumps.

Klum’s all-black ensemble certainly raises the bar for our casual, off-duty style, but it comes at price. Her Elizabeth and James separates, the Gilroy Crop Top and the Cooper Skirt, are currently unavailable but previously retailed for $325 each on ShopBop. Her separates alone have a combined price of $650, and that’s not even considering her Hermés mini Birkin bag, which can vary in price depending on the size and material (according to BragMyBag.com, the 25 centimeter purse starts at $9,400). Just because this outfit may cost at least $10,050 doesn’t mean you can’t own the look for yourself — read on to see how we’ve recreated Klum’s look for less!

Finding a crop top and skirt set to rival Klum’s Elizabeth and James ensemble was quite the task, but we finally landed on the Tularosa Free Crop Top and Midi Skirt from Revolve. The top and skirt both feature an open lace reminiscent of the sheer geometric pattern of Klum’s separates, but since this is lace, you will be exposing a little more skin than with Klum’s mesh covered look. This skin-baring set will allow you to take Klum’s look for less for only $29 and $44 respectively.

Birkin bags are pretty much irreplaceable, but we thought this green satchel from Target was an accessible alternative to Klum’s pricey purse. Although Heidi Klum’s New York City street style is simply stunning, it also has a stunningly high price tag, with her separates alone totaling $650 and her Birkin bag possibly starting around $9,400. Our recreated look, however, comes in at a mere $167.94, allowing you to look like a supermodel without spending like one!

Although the days left in the summer season are numbered, certain celebrities aren’t shying away from wearing bright summer white to the last parties of the season.

According to InStyle, Eva Longoria showed up to Lot Studios in Los Angeles in a white-hot midi dress to attend the HollyRod Foundation’s 17th Annual DesignCare Gala on August 8. She styled her body-hugging frock with a nude pointed toe pump and a gold mirrored clutch, while slicking her hair back into a chic updo.

Longoria’s sophisticated look, which features what The Daily Mail is reporting as the Victoria Beckham silk and wool-blend crepe dress, comes at a price — a $2,365 price, to be exact. But if this look is the object of your envy (as it is ours), we have all the pieces necessary to recreate Longoria’s entire look for less. Read on for the results!

Since midi dresses are a huge trend right now, finding a style in a crisp white with clean lines was fairly simple.
