Bridal style is all about feeling beautiful and confident on your big day, and a brand-new collaboration is here to make sure you feel nothing but special at your wedding.
Cue L.K. Bennett and Jenny Packham’s new line of bridal handbags and shoes, which Cosmopolitan says includes “16 footwear designs with varying heel heights, bling, and appliqués” that “also includes four different handbags.” Inspired by Old Hollywood glamour, Cosmo says the line specifically drew on the styles of icons such as Bette Davis Vivien Leigh.
From classic T-strap heeled sandals to kitten-heeled slingbacks, the line employs timeless styles that are as classic as they are elegant. The styles — both handbags and shoes — feature delicate lace, bows and dainty embellishments that offer enough detail to make the accessories visually interesting without being distracting.
For Packham, combining her self-titled brand’s timeless style with that of L.K. Bennett’s was an easy project:
“There is a strong synergy between the L.K.Bennett woman and the Jenny Packham bride, so it seemed natural and very exciting for me to collaborate with their design team,” Packham said in the statement. “A project of passion, the combination of the Jenny Packham aesthetic with the renowned design heritage and quality of L.K.Bennett has resulted in a beautiful collection of shoes and bags of which I am very proud.”
Cosmo says the collection retails between $295 and $745, and is currently available at L.K. Bennett stores and on L.K. Bennett’s website here.
When fashion expands to include a variety of sizes, skin tones and ethnicities, it’s always revolutionary. But when brands continue to be proactive on this front, that’s straight up inclusive.
Take Christian Louboutin, for example. According to ELLE, the global brand has expanded their four-year-old Nudes Collection to include two high-heelded sandals available in seven different shades of nude. The move follows recent steps to not only increase the number of nude shades from five to seven, says ELLE, but to also add a ballerina flat to their line.
These new styles, however, take their Nude Collection to new heights — literally. ELLE says the Christeriva style is a “ballet-inspired stiletto” sandal that features a grosgrain ribbon ankle wrap, similar wraps around the toes and a nearly four-inch heel.
The Cherrysandal, however, adds a bit more stability, featuring a five-and-a-half inch block heel secured by transparent PVC straps, an ankle strap and a single strap across the toes.
So how much will these nude beauties cost? ELLE says the Christeriva style will hit you for $875, while the Cherrysandal comes in at $20 higher for $895.
You, too, can have shoe game like Rihanna, but her newly-unveiled collaboration with Manolo Blahnik will come at a pretty penny.
According to HuffPost, the multi-hyphenate’s collection with the famed shoe brand — called “So Stoned” — lives up to its name, featuring clusters of Swarovski crystals and even acrylic heels, which give a cool glass slipper-like effect.
Announced in the April 2016 issue of Vogue UK, HuffPost says the So Stoned collection will officially be available in select Manolo Blahnik stores and online starting July 6. But how much does it cost to own a piece of this design collaboration?
Styles like the knee-high “Poison Ivy” cage heel will cost $2,325, reports HuffPost, while the red jewel-adorned “Spice” block heel will hit you for $1,265.
That’s one hefty bill to foot in order to shine bright like a diamond. Instead of dropping all that cash, you can check out the photos of her designs here.
She already has a collection of makeup with CoverGirl, but Katy Perry isn’t done designing just yet. In fact, the singer has a new footwear line coming out next month.
According to Glamour, Perry is set to unveil a 40-shoe line that includes everything from ” platform heels to sneakers and shower slides” that offers a fun, quirky take on traditional styles — all in a way that’s reflective of Perry’s own unique style and all priced between $59 and $299.
Telling Glamour that designing shoes has been a longstanding dream of hers, Perry said that her collection is divided into themes that make for a one-of-a-kind look.
“There’s a star and moon group called SOLEstial,” she told Glamour. “Havana Good Time came from a trip I took to Cuba with all my girlfriends and has two styles with a cigar heel. And we have Pump Up the Jam, which is a bit nineties-based.”
So who did Perry have in mind while designing the line?
“Any girl who wants to have a little exclamation mark at her feet,” she shared with Glamour.
If you’re ready for an exclamation mark at your feet, keep an eye out for Perry’s shoe line next month on katyperrycollections.com.
