Bra brand adds 24 new sizes

Bra shopping just got a little easier, thanks to ThirdLove.

According to Cosmopolitan, the intimates brand has announced that it they will not only begin offering half cup sizes, they are also adding a total of 24 new sizes to their collection. Additionally, the cup sizes will “range from AA through H and up to a 48-band size,” says Cosmo, giving ThirdLove a grand total of 70 sizes — more than double the offerings of competitor brands.

Chief Creative Officer for ThirdLove Ra’el Cohen told Cosmo that the more inclusive sizing aims to provide true-to-size styles that are supportive and stylish.

“We know you can’t just take a 34B and scale it up to a 40G — that’s a recipe for a bad fit,” she said. “We’ve worked tirelessly to design bras that don’t just scale up in size, but that have additional supportive elements that are nearly unperceivable to the naked eye.”

All of these inclusive sizes almost sounds too good to be true, and it kind of is — for now. Cosmo reports that while these sizes are currently available solely for the brand’s 24/7 Perfect Coverage Bra, ThirdLove does plan to extend the sizing to more designs in the near future.

GabiFresh unveils new lingerie collection

Gabi Gregg is not slowing down any time soon.

Just on the heels of the launch of her clothing line Premme, the GabiFresh founder has just unveiled a brand new intimates collection with UK-based brand, Playful Promises, reports Fashionista. According to InStyle, the new line will feature “loungewear, bras, panties, and garters all priced from $20-$46,” while also being offered in a range of sizes — something that was important for Gregg.

“As someone who wears an HH cup, it’s hard to find sexy, supportive options,” she said. “I’m so sick of beige and boring, and I wanted to create statement pieces, which Playful Promises does so well. I’ve been so impressed with their cool options in a large range of sizes, and it felt like the right fit for my brand.”

With a full range of items that Fashionista says includes “ultra-sheer, lace pieces, cage-contouring details and seductive separates all washed in a sleek black,” Gregg says she wants nothing more than to have women feel “badass.”

“I hope it makes them feel sexy, confident and on top of the world.”

Amen to that! Fashionista reports that bras from the line come in 36-38B-I cup and40-44C-I cup, while briefs and PJs sizes range from size 12 to 24.

Smalls to design new intimate line

Victoria’s Secret model Joan Smalls is stepping off the catwalk to try her hand at design in a just-announced collaboration.

According to Business of Fashion, Smalls is set to “design swimwear and lingerie for Smart & Sexy that will hit the brand’s e-commerce site and Walmart stores in Spring 2018,” which will be her first foray into intimates design.

Business of Fashion reports that Smalls has worked with Smart & Sexy before, starring in their Spring 2017 campaign, and it’s there that the model connected with the brand’s mission and its founder and chief executive, Ariela Balk.

“I fell in love with the brand and the fact that they cater to women of all sizes at affordable pricing,” said Smalls, according to Business of Fashion. “Ariela Balk really impressed me and I found a great admiration for her as a businesswoman. When it comes to design, we agree in many aspects and we both are super excited about the collaboration.”

As for Smart & Sexy, Balk told Business of Fashion that the brand offers an affordable and inclusive alternative to more mainstream intimate brands, pricing bras under $15 and offering a size range that spans 32A to 46DDD. And with Smalls on board, Balk said that the brand will only further blend style with inclusivity.

“She has a great eye for fashion,” Balk told Business of Fashion of Smalls. “She understands that you have to make women of all shapes look beautiful. She also shares that philosophy that you don’t just make an item because it was on the runway and it’s the trend item of the moment.”
