Gaga reportedly has a makeup line in the works

Mother Monster may be in the process of creating her first makeup line.

That’s according to Harper’s Bazaarwhich is reporting that Lady Gaga‘s company Ate My Heart Inc. had filed a trademark back in January for something named “Haus Beauty.” The trademark, says Harper’s Bazaar, covers “everything from cosmetics to perfumes, colognes, and even skincare.”

While Harper’s Bazaar says that even though all signs are pointing to a forthcoming beauty line, a filed trademark doesn’t guarantee a finished product — or line of products.  But if her recent Instagram posts hold any secrets, cosmetics are almost definitely coming; Harper’s Bazaar points out that the singer and actor has been sharing several selfies that have pink and red lipsticks as their central focus.

But only time will prove the validity of the speculation — and here’s hoping it’s true!

Hadid launches collection with Maybelline

Finding makeup that is both quality and affordable can be like finding a needle in a haystack. But look no further, because Gigi Hadid has just dropped a new collection with Maybelline.

According to Glamour, the IMG model’s newest makeup line with Maybelline center around her “world-traveling lifestyle,” serving up a smattering of products that include “an eye contour palette, tinted primer, black gel eyeliner, black liquid eyeliner, black fiber mascara, an iridescent liquid strober, and matte lipstick.”

Additionally, Glamour reports that Hadid’s home state of California also inspired the collection, sparking the design of the West Coast Glow palette as well as influencing the names of the shadows included.

However, she gives some love to the East Coast, too. According to Glamour, the “East Coast Glam collection is based on Gigi’s ‘favorite Soho alleyways'” and “draws on trendy, stylish, and grunge influences for morning-to-night-out looks. She named the lipsticks after a best friend (McCall), makeup artist (Erin), and her astrological sign, Taurus (Taura).”

If you’re as ready as we are to shop the new products, Glamour says the line is currently available for purchase on Ulta.com and will be available in Ulta stores starting Nov. 5.

Fenty Beauty by Rihanna to debut fall 2017

If you’ve ever envied Rihanna’s makeup, you’ll soon be able to take her look all for yourself.

According to The Cut, the 29-year-old singer will launch Fenty Beauty by Rihanna at Sephora this fall, with some of the line’s products already debuting on the Fenty Beauty Instagram account (which has since been taken down).

Before the account was deleted, a photo was posted revealing a holographic lip color that’s part of the line — and had already made an appearance during her spring 2017 Fenty X Puma runway show, reports The Cut. 

Glamour also reports that the line is looking for a global makeup artist, according to a second photo posted on the non-existent Instagram account. However, Glamour links to the Instagram account of Erik Soto, global makeup artist for Kat Von D and head of global artistry and education for Kendo brands (a beauty brand developer), who posted a photo launching the talent search.

The announcement posts three locations for on-site auditions — New York, Dallas and Los Angeles — which run between Feb. 24 and 28. Soto’s photo caption says that those applicants who make it beyond the first two rounds of interviews will “have a chance to interview and apply makeup on Rihanna herself.”

Rowland rolls into the makeup industry

While the fashion industry is slowly becoming more inclusive of different body types and sizes, the makeup industry is also about to get a little more inclusive with the help of singer Kelly Rowland.

According to The Huffington Post, Rowland told Essence magazine on Monday, March 21 that she will be launching a makeup line especially for dark-skinned women.

Partnering with her makeup artist, Sheika Daley, Rowland said they will begin the line with lashes and grow it from there. However, they will be “definitely making sure we have our chocolate girls covered. Gotta get the chocolate girls in there!,” said Rowland. “We have to have that, you know. I think Iman has done a beautiful makeup line and I want to do it too!”

The Huffington Post reports that her line will join other products for darker-skinned women, including  Cocoa Swatches and Queen by CoverGirl.

While no release date has been announced, the line is certainly something to watch for.
