Rihanna just broke a 102-year-old record.
According to HuffPost, the singer-beauty modul-philanthropist is gracing the cover of British Vogue’s September issue, and in doing so, is becoming the first black woman in the publication’s entire 102-year history to occupy the spot.
Styled by the glossy’s editor-in-chief Edward Enninful and photographed by fashion photographer Nick Knight, HuffPost says Rihanna took her place on British Vogue‘s cover wearing a “a pink tulle Prada dress and neon-orange gloves from her Savage x Fenty collection,” while also wearing only makeup products from her Fenty Beauty brand.
With the 400-page September issue the barometer of the upcoming season’s impending fashion trends, HuffPost says Rihanna’s cover is hinting at what may be a major trend: pencil-thin eyebrows, which she shows off on her cover photo.
Enninful explained the decision to place Rihanna on the magazine’s cover as one he always saw coming.
“I always knew it had to be Rihanna,” he said. “A fearless music-industry icon and businesswoman, when it comes to that potent mix of fashion and celebrity, nobody does it quite like her.”
Amen to that.
Finding a new highlighter that is quality is like finding a diamond in the rough; finding one that also gives back is almost impossible. But thanks to Rihanna’s latest release, both are a reality.
According to ELLE, the multi-hyphenate’s Fenty Beauty teamed up with her nonprofit — the Clara Lionel Foundation — to create a limited-edition highlighter called “Diamond Ball-Out.” Named after her foundation’s annual Diamond Ball, ELLE says the highlighter is a platinum shade that “features the same weightless, cream-to-powder formula and highly-pigmented shimmer of the OG Killawatt shades.”
As if the formula and shade weren’t enough, ELLE reports that 100 percent of the proceeds from sales of the highlighter “will be donated to the Clara Lionel Foundation to aid in the organization’s education, health, and global advocacy programs around the world.”
Running concurrently with the highlighter’s release is a contest that has as the grand prize the chance for one fan and their guest to attend the Diamond Ball on Sept. 13; to enter, ELLE says “each dollar spent on the limited-edition highlighter equals one entry towards the contest so the more you spend, the better your chances.”
Ready for this covetable and charitable new product? ELLE says it drops on Aug. 1.
If we needed another reason to love summer beyond the sunshine and warm weather, Rihanna just gave us one: a new Fenty release.
According to ELLE, the multi-hyphenate has announced a new Fenty eye product collection, which mainly includes eyeshadow, eyeshadow primer and liquid liner. Making its debut on July 6, ELLE says the collection features the Moroccan Spice palette — the brand’s second-ever eyeshadow palette, following the Galaxy palette last year” — which offers “diamond-shaped shimmer and matte shades in toasty hues.”
Matte shades in the eyeshadow palette include a warm terra cotta, charcoal and even a dusty mauve, while the shimmery shadow look to be a bit more fun, with a sparkly emerald making an appearance in the palette.
Beyond the palette, ELLE says the collection will include a Pro Filter Eye Primer to hold onto all of that gorgeous eyeshadow color, as well as eyeshadow brushes to get the perfect eye look. Finishing off the look is what ELLE says is a “long-wear liquid liner that’s formulated to be water-resistant with a satin sheen” that is aptly named Flyliner.
Ready to shop the new products? ELLE says the collection will be available for purchase at Sephora, as well as Harvey Nichols and on Fenty Beauty’s website.
Anything Rihanna touches with her Fenty empire usually turns to gold, but this time, her fans are demanding a bit more from the multi-hyphenate.
According to Cosmopolitan, the singer/designer’s latest launch — a sexy lingerie line called “Savage X Fenty” — debuted to high praise for its size-inclusive offerings, which include underwear sizes up to 3X and bra sizes up to 44DD. But some fans thought the size range wasn’t true to the brand’s “Savage comes in all shapes and sizes” motto.
Taking to social media to express their frustration over the lack of their specific bra size, Cosmo says fans called for additional sizes on both ends of the size spectrum.
“I was soooooo excited for #SavageXFenty but all the pieces I was excited about don’t come in my size. Story of my life,” wrote Twitter user Meghan. “‘Size inclusive’ is almost always a lie. It always means “here’s 25% of what straight sizes get, that’s good enough right?”
“Do not try and say you cater for ‘all body types’ by only selling a 32 band size as the smallest option and the most generic, easily available cup sizes #savagexfenty #allbodytypes,” tweeted Eleanor Wells.
While there is no word yet on whether or not the brand will eventually add even more sizes to their current range, Cosmo offers that there is a solid chance that Fenty may make good on their inclusive promise — look no further than their makeup line for proof that true inclusivity is possible.

Cardi B is on top of the world right now: her new rap album “Invasion of Privacy” recently debuted to rave reviews, she made her first Saturday Night Live appearance AND in the same night, revealed that she’s pregnant with her first child.
But that’s not all this rapper has going on: according to Harper’s Bazaar, Cardi recently announced the launch of her collaboration with Fashion Nova, an ” online retailer for women’s clothing that Cardi has been wearing and repping long before her ‘Bodak Yellow’ days.”
Rumored to be released in October, Harper’s Bazaar says her collection will include 80 to 100 items that Cardi designed on her own in what is Fashion Nova’s first design collaboration; pieces will range from “dresses to jeans and outerwear.”
Fashion Nova CEO Richard Saghian told Harper’s Bazaar that Cardi isn’t just a good choice for their first collaboration, she’s the only choice.
“I can’t think of a better fashion icon for our first design collaboration than Cardi B,” he said. “Cardi loves the brand and was wearing it before she became famous. She’s the ultimate fashion muse and has incredible style.”
Can’t wait to see what this muse dreams up for the collection!
Just in time for spring and summer, Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty is gracing us with the perfect product for off-the-shoulder weather.
According to Glamour, the multi-hyphenate recently unveiled brand-new body glitter products that will make your skin look equal parts dewy and shimmery. The brand’s two body glitter products offer similarly gorgeous results: Glamour says Body Lava is a “shimmer-packed liquid highlighter,” while Fenty’s Fairy Bomb offers a powder puff alternative that is “packed with shimmer inside.”
So far, the Body Lava is available in two shades, says Glamour, which include Brown Sugar — a shimmery bronze — and Who Needs Clothes, which is a peachy-champagne color. Instagram photos of the products show Rihanna using a kabuki brush to meld the product into her skin, Glamour reports, so you know when you buy your Body Lava that you’ll also be purchasing the adjoining brush.
The Fairy Bomb, however, offers a much more subtle sheen than an all-out glitter, Glamour says, with the fluffy pouf coming in a pretty rose gold shade.
So how much will all this set you back? Each Body Lava will hit you for a lofty $59 at Sephora, while the Fairy Bomb will cost $42. Despite their lofty price tags, one thing is for sure — when these products drop on April 6, we will all be lining up to make our purchases.
Now, you can be decked out in head-to-toe Fenty products, thanks to Rihanna’s latest release.
According to PopSugar, the multi-hyphenate has teamed up with sock retailer Stance to “release a trio of over-the-top, embellished socks as part of her ongoing collaboration with the footwear accessories brand.”
Fitting in seamlessly with the ‘statement sock’ trend, PopSugar says the Fenty Cold Hearted Socks “are made of a shimmery material, feature chunky hand-sewn jewels, and come in three colors (black, white, and wine),” making you look like Queen RiRi herself. But to achieve that look, you’ll have to shell out a cool $125 per pair.
