Cosmetics company giving away wedding gown

If wedding bells will be chiming in your near future, a new giveaway aims to get you decked out for your big day, from head to toe — literally.

According to PopSugar, Benefit Cosmetics has just launched a brand-new giveaway in conjunction that will not only “give you perfect, face-framing eyebrows, but if you’re lucky you could also win a wedding gown.”

Here’s how PopSugar says the contest works: when brides-to-be stop in a Benefit Boutique for a free Bridal Brow Mapping session and makeover to whip their brows into shape from now until Aug. 31, they are automatically entered to win a free Morilee wedding gown by Madeline Gardner.

The winner will be announced on Sept. 1, says PopSugar, and the prize will be a gown worth about $1,200 — all for being pampered by Benefit!

Wedding gown brand to offer extended size range

All brides deserve a gorgeous wedding dress to celebrate their special day — that’s why one wedding dress brand will now be offering an extended size range.

According to Glamour, Floravere‘s “Firsts Collection” will not only offer affordable bridal styles, they will do so by offering samples in a broader size range, specifically offering sample gowns in sizes 2, 6, 12, 18W, or 24W. What’s more is that Glamour reports that Floravere will not impose a surchage for ordering a larger size, a common practice at some bridal shops.

Beyond the extended size range, Glamour notes that there is something extra special about the brand’s “Firsts” collection: each dress “is named for a female pioneer—like Marie Curie, Judy Garland, and Amelia Earhart” while also making reference to the changes their collection will make on the bridal industry.

“I think we’re really the first to revolutionize and drive innovation in bridal,” Floravere cofounder and CEO Molly Kang explained to Glamour. “We’re truly the first to really offer luxury wedding dresses that you can try on across sizes, no matter where you live.”

In addition to being size-inclusive, Glamour says Floravere’s latest collection is also wallet-friendly, with gowns starting at just $850.

H&M unveils wedding shop, recreates royal gown

There’s a first for everything, and for H&M, their ‘first’ came with the launch of their wedding shop.

According to InStyle, the global fashion retailer has unveiled their very first wedding shop, and with it comes dozens of styles for everyone from the bride to the wedding guests. Featuring long and short lace dresses, adorable flower girl looks and pleated numbers, the line certainly offers an array of styles fit for any wedding.

However, InStyle points out that the line’s centerpiece happens to be a gown that looks almost exactly like Kate Middleton’s Alexander McQueen wedding gown, replicating the look’s lace sleeves, sweetheart neckline and A-line skirt — the only things missing, InStyle reports, are the “9-foot train and the hefty price tag.”

How much would H&M’s Kate Middleton dupe set you back? Try $250, as opposed to the real deal’s rumored $434,000.

That’s all the reason you need to rush over to H&M’s site to view the introductory styles from their new wedding collection.
